Folder preferences allow you to organize the mail in your InBox.
• Use Folders
If you would rather not use folders in your InBox, uncheck this preference.
• Automatic Return Receipts Folder
If you would like return receipts to automatically be placed into their own folder when they arrive, check this preference. The return receipts will be marked as read so that you won’t be bothered by flashing icons. If you turn off the “Put Return Receipts into InBox” interface preference, return receipts will not be placed into the Return Receipts folder and you will be notified when they arrive.
• Automatic Self Send Folder
If you would like mail that you send to yourself to automatically be placed into its own folder, check this preference. This is especially useful if you have turned on the “Always Send a Copy of Mail to Self” mail preference to keep a copy of every piece of mail that you send. Like return receipts, these mail items will be marked as read.
• Use Trash Folder
When you delete a piece of mail from the InBox, the mail is gone forever. You may find it more comforting to have a “Trash” folder into which Snap Mail places all of your deleted mail. If you check this preference, the “Trash” folder will be created. If you delete mail items that are already in the trash, they will be permanently deleted.
